Annapolis District RCMP investigating fatal collision

Annapolis District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Nictaux.

On September 30, at approximately 9:20 a.m., Annapolis District RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of Hwy. 10 and Nictaux Rd. Officers learned that a sedan and a dump truck had collided. 

The driver and lone occupant of the car, a 17-year-old from Greenland, Nova Scotia, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver and sole occupant of the dump truck, a 49-year-old man from New Albany, reported no physical injuries.

Hwy. 10 at Nictaux Rd. was closed for several hours while an RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam footage, is asked to contact Annapolis District RCMP at 902-825-2000.
