RCMP investigating fatal single-vehicle crash

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred in Watt Section.
On October 16, at approximately 9:55 p.m., RCMP officers responded to a 911 crash notification near civic 24040 on Hwy. 7.
Upon arrival, officers found a Mitsubishi Lancer that had left the roadway and come to rest in a wooded area.
The 32-year-old driver, a man from Sheet Harbour, and a 30-year-old passenger, a man from Halifax, were pronounced deceased at the scene. A second passenger, a 40-year-old man from Bedford, was transported to hospital by EHS with non-life-threatening injuries.
Hwy. 7 was closed for several hours while an RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
