Kelly appeared in Pictou Provincial Court on October 19, was remanded into custody, and is due to reappear on October 21.

The investigation was supported by the Pictou County District RCMP, Pictou County General Investigation Section, and the Antigonish/Guysborough Street Crime Enforcement Unit.
