RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is investigating a single-vehicle crash that damaged a parked vehicle and a residence in Lower Sackville.

On October 26, at approximately 9:15 p.m., police, EHS and fire services responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a home in the 1000 block of Riverside Dr.

Upon arrival, officers located a damaged Honda Pilot and a damaged Hyundai Tucson. Officers learned the Honda had been travelling south on Riverside Dr. toward Sackville Dr. when it left the roadway and collided with the parked Hyundai, and then crashed into the home.

The driver, a 17-year-old youth, and four 17-year-old passengers were transported to hospital by EHS with non-life-threatening injuries.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene, and Riverside Dr. was closed for several hours. It has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the crash, including dashcam, doorbell or other video footage, is asked to contact RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment at 902-490-5020. To remain anonymous, call Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers, toll-free, at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submit a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or use the P3 Tips app.
