Kent Pike
Chief Superintendent

Born and raised in Burin, Newfoundland and Labrador, Chief Superintendent Kenton Pike grew up with a deep appreciation for community and service. His early experiences shaped a commitment to fairness, accountability, and respect, values that have remained at the core of his policing career.

He began his career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police at his first posting in Happy Valley Goose Bay, Labrador District in 2002 where he demonstrated a commitment to service and community safety. Over the next several years, he gained experience in general duty policing and federal enforcement, serving in communities across Labrador and in Gander.

In 2009, Chief Superintendent Pike promoted to the rank of Corporal at the Inuvik Detachment in the Northwest Territories, marking the start of his leadership roles. By 2011, he became the Detachment Commander in Fort Good Hope as the Sergeant in charge. In 2014 he moved back to Inuvik with a promotion to Staff Sergeant as the Advisory Non-Commissioned Officer for North District. His dedication and expertise led to an appointment to Inspector in 2019, in charge of Administration and Personnel in Yellowknife.

In 2023, he brought his extensive knowledge of operations and administrative experience to Nunavut at the rank of Superintendent, Officer in Charge of Criminal Operations (CROPS). While in CROPS, he prioritized building stronger relationships with partners within Nunavut with transparency. As the CROPS officer, Chief Superintendent Pike was also committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace, ensuring the highest standards of public safety for the communities of Nunavut.

In October of 2025, Chief Superintendent Pike achieved the most esteemed position in V Division as the Commanding Officer. This milestone reflects a career defined by integrity, resilience and an unwavering commitment to serving with excellence. Chief Superintendent Pike has spent 22 of his 24 years of service in Northern postings across Canada, highlighting his profound dedication to the North and its communities.

Chief Superintendent Pike believes in leading with the RCMP core values as a foundation. His approach emphasizes empowering teams, building community trust and adapting to evolving challenges in law enforcement. With experience at all the RCMP ranks throughout his career, he understands what is required to succeed and strives to ensure all employees have opportunities to gain similar experiences. He believes in working collaboratively to achieve shared goals.

He is deeply committed to his family and credits their support as a cornerstone of his success. He shares his life with his partner, Eileen, and his daughter Keagan, who is the centre of his world. He enjoys spending time with his family and their dogs. Chief Superintendent Pike has a great interest in gym fitness, sports and mentoring others in physical training. He strongly values physical and mental wellness as an essential part of a balanced life.
