Iqaluit RCMP charge three men, following Search Warrant

On March 31, 2026, the Iqaluit RCMP, with the assistance from the Iqaluit RCMP’s General Investigative Section and the Nunavut RCMP’s Federal Arctic Unit, executed a search warrant to a residence in 300 block of Iqaluit, Nunavut. Three men were arrested and charged following the search warrant. The following was seized during the search:
- Canadian currency.
- Cocaine.
- Drug Trafficking paraphernalia; and
- A Firearm.
Police have charged Joavie Nookiguak (age 66) and Joanasie Kilabuk (age 44) with:
- Trafficking a controlled substance, Section 5, CDSA,
- Possession of property obtained by crime, Section 354(1) C.C
Both men were released from custody, and their next court appearance is scheduled for May 7, 2026, in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
Additionally, at the time of the execution of the search warrant, Roger Kilabuk (age 35) was charged with:
- Obstruction, Section 129(a) C.C
- Fail to comply with a release order, Section 145(5)(a) C.C.
Roger Kilabuk was remanded into custody, and his next court appearance is scheduled for April 21, 2026, in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
