Iqaluit General Investigative Section Execute Search Warrant

On April 7, 2026, the Iqaluit RCMP’s General Investigation Section (GIS), executed a search warrant to a residence on Sinaa street, in Iqaluit, Nunavut. 

Police have charged Murray Francis McLaughlin (age 54) with: 

• Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2) CDSA
• Two counts of Fail to Comply with release order, Section 145(5)(a) C.C

McLaughlin was brought before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 9, 2026, in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
