UPDATE: August 13, 2026 _ The Iqaluit RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance in this investigation. The individual whose photos were released in connection with this break and enter has now been identified.
We appreciate the public's continued support and cooperation in helping police identify individuals involved in criminal activity and hold offenders accountable for their actions.
August 12, 2026:
The Iqaluit RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in identifying three suspects involved in a break and enter at a local business.
On August 5, 2026, the Iqaluit RCMP received a report of a break and enter that occurred at Pilitak Construction, located on Federal Road in Iqaluit. Surveillance footage confirmed that three individuals were involved in the incident. Although all three suspects were captured on CCTV, investigators have obtained a clearer image of one male suspect and are asking for the public's help in identifying him.
Several items were stolen from the business, including:
- An employee's wallet
- A power probe
- Two large boxes of AA batteries
- Six to ten DeWalt 60V batteries and two chargers
- A bearing puller kit
- Two boxes of cutting discs
- Five to ten new DeWalt power tools
