Clyde River RCMP investigating the discovery of human remains

On August 13, 2026, the Clyde River RCMP received a report that a local hunter had located human remains along the shoreline near the community. 

Police were able to recover the remains and transport them back to Clyde River.

The investigation is ongoing and the RCMP are working closely with the Nunavut Coroner’s Office to confirm the deceased’s identity.
