Fort Smith RCMP is investigating a report of a firearm discharge and a house fire in Fort Smith.
On March 7, at 4:28 am, Fort Smith RCMP received a report of a firearm discharge and a house fire on Field Street. Officers attended the scene. Further information was received indicating that two males were seen fleeing the scene in a Hyundai sedan driven by a third person.
The fire fully engulfed the house, which is deemed total loss. No injuries were reported as a result of this fire.
No suspect has been identified, and Fort Smith RCMP is actively investigating this incident alongside the Territorial Crime Reduction Unit, Fort Smith Protective Services and the Office of the Fire Marshall.
