To report a missing person

Call your local Northwest Territories RCMP detachment at (local three digits)-1111.

Call 9-1-1 immediately if the missing person is:

  • under the age of 12
  • elderly
  • has significant mental or developmental disabilities

Report a crime

  • To report a crime or speak with a police officer, call 867-669-1111.
  • If you are outside of Canada, contact your local police service and ask them to request assistance from the appropriate Canadian law enforcement agency.
  • To provide a tip anonymously, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), use the secure P3 Mobile App or send your tip through Secure Web Tips.

Firearms licenses and registration

For inquiries regarding firearms licenses or registration, contact the Canadian Firearms Program.

Fingerprinting, criminal record, and vulnerable sector checks

If you need services like fingerprinting or a criminal records check, contact your local police service to have your fingerprints taken and process your application for a certified criminal record check or a vulnerable sector check.
