As part of an ongoing investigation, in the early-morning hours of June 13th, Yellowknife RCMP executed a search warrant and arrested several people in the 5400 block of 52 street in Yellowknife.

Several days prior, police received a report that two people had been held against their will in the residence and later released. As part of the investigation into this matter, Yellowknife RCMP’s General Investigation Section, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team and other police resources, executed a search warrant at the residence in question at approximately 4:30 a.m. this morning.

As a result, three people were arrested and one firearm was seized, along with other evidence. The investigation remains ongoing and charges are forthcoming. An update will be provided once charges are sworn.

The RCMP would like to thank the City of Yellowknife for providing support during this operation.
