Yellowknife detachment investigating downtown break and enter

Police in Yellowknife are investigating a break and enter into a downtown restaurant that took place early this morning.

On September 17th at approximately 4:37 a.m. Yellowknife RCMP received a report of a commercial alarm at the Subway restaurant on 50 Street. Officers attended and found damage to the building and evidence of a break and enter having occurred.

Initial investigation indicated two suspects gained entry to the building and stole a cash register before fleeing on foot.

The investigation remains ongoing with support from G Division Forensic Identification Services. No arrests have been made.
