The investigation from May 7, 2025 was led by the new JET Unit. This newly funded provincial law enforcement partnership is comprised of officers from PEI RCMP, Eastern Region Federal Policing RCMP Summerside Police Services and Kensington Police Services with the goal of addressing drugs and organized crime in all communities across PEI. The investigation was also assisted by the Prince District Joint Forces Operations Unit and the Summerside Police Services. This investigation is ongoing.
“This is a strong and promising first arrest by our new provincial law enforcement team,” says Chief Superintendent Kevin Lewis, Commanding Officer of the PEI RCMP. “By joining forces, PEI’s law enforcement agencies are more effective than ever in our fight against drugs and organized crime across all Island communities;” adds Lewis.
