A Prince County man has died as a result of a single vehicle collision on Route 14 near Christopher Cross.
On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at approximately 4:20 p.m. West Prince RCMP received a 911 call regarding a crash of a single motor vehicle in the Christopher Cross area. Island EMS and Tignish Fire Department also responded to the call. It appears the vehicle left the road and struck a concrete culvert however the investigation is ongoing, and cause of death has not been determined at this time. It does not appear that alcohol or impairment by drugs is a factor at this time as well.
An 81-year-old Prince County man was the lone occupant of the vehicle, he was transported to Prince County Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. An RCMP collision analyst was notified and the PEI Coroner’s Office has also been advised.
Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends at this difficult time.
