May 5, 2026, Members of the Prince District Joint Forces Operation (JFO), Summerside Police, Provincial Joint Enforcement Team (JET), and RCMP Police Dog Service, conducted a targeted vehicle stop in Summerside. The stop was followed by the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence on Jennifer Street.
During the vehicle stop, police arrested a 35‑year‑old Summerside man and a 67‑year‑old man from the Bedeque area for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. The Bedeque‑area man was also arrested on outstanding charges by East Prince RCMP.

As a result of the investigation, police seized pills, approximately 85 grams of cocaine, money, and drug paraphernalia. Cocaine is often sold by the gram or half gram.
