JET team make arrest and seize fentanyl

On June 23 the PEI JET team made an arrest in North Carleton and seized 16 grams of fentanyl as well as cocaine. A 27-year-old man has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl.
On June 23, 2026, the PEI Joint Enforcement Team made a traffic stop in a parking lot in North Carleton. 27 -year-old Graydon James Hearn was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl. Police seized 16 grams of fentanyl, and 1.5 grams of cocaine. Hearn will appear in court on August 19, 2026.
“Fentanyl is an extremely potent synthetic opioid. It is associated with overdose deaths across Canada. We take trafficking of this very dangerous drug seriously and recognize the considerable harms it causes.
