A collision involving a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle has claimed the life of a 29-year-old Queens County man.

At approximately 3:45 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, Queens District RCMP responded to a 911 call regarding a two-vehicle collision on Route 6 near the Raspberry Point Oyster Bar. Island EMS and New Glasgow Fire Department also responded, as well as an RCMP collision reconstructionist. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital but later died as a result of his injuries. Temporary traffic control measures were put in place for a short time to assist traffic through the scene.

At this time, it does not appear drugs or alcohol are a factor in this incident; however, the investigation is ongoing.

Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends at this difficult time.
