Single-Vehicle Crash in Bonshaw Sends Four to Hospital

On September 1, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Queens District RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision on Route 1 in Bonshaw after an SUV left the roadway and entered a ditch. Emergency crews were dispatched following a crash detection notification.

Four women were transported to hospital with serious injuries. Three of the occupants sustained critical injuries.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision. 

Route 1 was closed for several hours while emergency responders attended the scene and investigators conducted their examination.

Queens District RCMP continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The North River Fire Department and Island EMS also responded to the incident.
