Meadow Lake CRT charge two after seizing cocaine and crack from residence

In late December, Meadow Lake RCMP seized methamphetamine, cocaine and weapons at a residence in Meadow Lake. Two people were arrested, including a male released on conditions that allowed police officers to search his person, vehicle or residence if they had reasonable suspicion he may be in possession of a controlled substance. Based on investigation, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Meadow Lake Crime Reduction Team (CRT) searched a residence on 7th Street E. in Meadow Lake on February 20, 2026.
Officers located and seized:
- approximately 135 grams of cocaine;
- approximately 19 grams of crack cocaine;
- about 240 pharmaceutical-style pills;
- a sum of cash; and
- trafficking paraphernalia.
An adult male and adult female were arrested at the residence. The female provided a false name to police at the time of her arrest.
As a result of continued investigation, 28-year-old Michael Ross from Meadow Lake is charged with:
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
- one count, possession of the property of crime under $5,000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code; and
- two counts, fail to comply with undertaking, Section 145(4)(a), Criminal Code.
21-year-old Julianne Cardinal from Meadow Lake is charged with:
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
- one count, possession of the property of crime under $5,000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code; and
- one count, obstruct peace officer, Section 129(a), Criminal Code.
She was also arrested on a warrant for charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking related to the same late December drug seizure in Meadow Lake.
Michael Ross and Julianne Cardinal were scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on February 23, 2025.
