Pinehouse RCMP investigating shooting

Pinehouse RCMP is investigating a shooting that resulted in two people being injured.

On March 21, 2026, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Pinehouse RCMP received a report of a shooting. Officers immediately responded. The investigation determined an interaction occurred between a group of individuals at a residence in Pinehouse Lake. During the altercation, a firearm was discharged, resulting in injuries to two victims. Both were transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.  

As a result of continued investigation, Pinehouse RCMP have charged one individual in connection with this incident. The male youth is under the age of 18, and, as a result, cannot be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He has been charged with two counts, aggravated assault, Section 268(2), Criminal Code, as well as numerous other offences. He is wanted on warrant.
