On March 28, 2026, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP received a report of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Highway #10, west of Edgeley, SK.
Officers immediately responded to the collision, which involved a vehicle and an adult female who was on the road. The female was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Later that morning, officers located a damaged vehicle on a nearby slough. A deceased male was located inside. It’s believed that the vehicle had left the roadway and had rolled. Further investigation determined the male and the female had been travelling in the vehicle together. This rollover is not believed to be connected to the initial collision reported to police.
The male and female are both 20 years old and from Yorkton. Their families have been notified.
Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP continue to investigate the incident with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist, and in consultation with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
