Carlyle RCMP charge man with willful promotion of hatred

On April 16, 2025, Carlyle RCMP received a report of hateful material being posted online in a public forum. Investigation determined that an individual was wilfully promoting hatred against an identifiable group.

An adult male was arrested on April 10, 2026, in Carlyle, SK. 

As a result of this investigation and consultation with Saskatchewan Crown Prosecution office, 35-year-old Travis Patron of Redvers, SK is charged with one count of willful promotion of hatred, section 319(2), Criminal Code.

He is scheduled to appear in Carlyle Provincial Court on May 13, 2026.
