Battlefords RCMP: three arrested, one wanted after break-in at municipal building

Suspect

On March 20, 2026 at approximately 3:30 a.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of a break and enter at a municipal building on 101 Street in North Battleford. Investigation determined four individuals entered the building at approximately 3:25 a.m., stole a variety of office items, and exited at approximately 3:30 a.m. 

Investigation determined the identity of three of the suspects. The identity of the fourth suspect is still unknown. 

As a result of continued investigation, 34-year-old John Chickosis from North Battleford, 30-year-old Ruebin Curley from North Battleford and 46-year-old Naomi Yellowtail from Regina have been arrested and each charged with one count, breaking, entering, and committing, Section 348(1)(b), Criminal Code. 

Ruebin Curley is additionally charged with one count, fail to comply with probation order, Section 733.1(1), Criminal Code.

They are scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on May 25, 2026 (Information #90599904, #90599758, and #90599757 respectively).

Battlefords RCMP are actively working to identify the fourth suspect. They are described as an adult male, wearing a black baseball hat, black Toronto Raptors hoodie, black Puma brand pants, and white and black shoes.  A photo of the suspect is attached.
