It’s National Police Week. As part of this year’s activities, the Battlefords RCMP will be hosting a community barbecue on Friday, May 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will take place in the parking lot of the Battlefords RCMP Detachment, located at 1052 – 101st Street, North Battleford.
A hamburger and drink will be available for $5.00, with all proceeds from the barbecue donated in support of the Battlefords Citizens on Patrol program. This volunteer-driven initiative plays a vital role in enhancing local crime prevention efforts by serving as extra eyes and ears for police, helping to deter criminal activity.
“National Police Week is an opportunity to gather with the community and recognize the dedication of our officers who work hard every day to keep us safe,” says S/Sgt. Bryce Pender with Battlefords RCMP. “We encourage everyone to come out, connect with our members, and have a great lunch – all for a good cause, our very own Citizens on Patrol.”
