Turtleford RCMP arrested Phoenix Standingwater on May 12 on Thunderchild First Nation. He appeared in court in Onion Lake on May 13, 2026. 

Turtleford RCMP is still seeking to locate Dimetre Paskimin.

Background

Four individuals have been arrested, and two suspects are wanted by Saskatchewan RCMP following an armed robbery on Thunderchild First Nation, SK and flight from police. 

On May 9, 2026, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Turtleford RCMP received a report of a robbery with a firearm at a residence on Thunderchild First Nation. 

Turtleford RCMP officers responded and determined that three suspects in a car and a truck entered the property, assaulted a resident and stole an ATV. The victim reported minor injuries to police.  

Officers made patrols of the area. They located and arrested a 25-year-old male on Thunderchild First Nation. 

Turtleford RCMP Detachment engaged the Lloydminster Crime Reduction Team (CRT), part of the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Teams (SERT), to assist with locating the outstanding suspects. 

At approximately 5:50 p.m., officers with Lloydminster CRT and Turtleford RCMP located a vehicle matching the description of the suspect car near Thunderchild First Nation. Officers activated their vehicle’s lights and sirens. The driver fled from police. Officers followed the car. 

Approximately 30 kilometres north of North Battleford, on Hwy #794 near the Hwy #4 intersection, officers observed the car leave the road and roll. Officers arrested the driver and three occupants – one male and three females – without incident. 

One occupant was transported to hospital as a precaution. They were later released into RCMP custody. During a search of the car, officers located and seized multiple knives, a sword, approximately 4.2 grams of cocaine and 1.2 grams of methamphetamine. During a search of the driver, officers located keys to a vehicle that had previously been reported as stolen. Investigation determined the four individuals were not involved in the initial armed robbery. 

Kade Schacher, a 22-year-old from Lloydminster, SK, is charged with:

  • two counts, possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; 
  • one count, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code;
  • one count, flight from peace officer, Section 320.17, Criminal Code; 
  • one count, dangerous operation of motor vehicle, Section 320.13(1), Criminal Code; and
  • one count, possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.00, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code. 

37-year-old Charlene Wright, 31-year-old Tanis Nicotine, and 27-year-old Sommer Thunderchild, all from Lloydminster, SK, are each charged with:

  • two counts, possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and 
  • one count, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code. 

Kade Schacher, Charlene Wright, Tanis Nicotine and Sommer Thunderchild are scheduled appear in court in St. Walburg on June 2, 2026 (Information #90574982). 

As a result of further investigation, 25-year-old Rocky Wuttunee of Lloydminster, AB is charged with one count, robbery with firearm, Section 344, Criminal Code.

Rocky Wuttunee is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on June 2, 2026 (Information #90568962). 

Turtleford RCMP is seeking to locate two additional male suspects believed to be involved in the initial armed robbery. The public is asked to report sightings and information on the whereabouts of 22-year-old Dimetre Paskimin and 29-year-old Phoenix Standingwater. Warrants have been issued for their arrest. 

They are each charged with charged with one count, robbery with firearm, Section 344, Criminal Code. Dimetre Paskimin is also charged with one count, using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, Section 85(2)(a), Criminal Code and one count, assault with a weapon, Section 267(a), Criminal Code.

Dimetre Paskimin is described as: 

  • Height: 6 ft 1 in
  • Weight: 220 lbs
  • Eye colour: brown
  • Hair colour: black

Phoenix Standingwater is described as:

  • Height: 6 ft 4 in
  • Weight: 165 lbs
  • Eye colour: brown
  • Hair colour: black
  • Other descriptors: star and crown tattoo on right cheek, teardrop tattoo under left eye
