Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit is investigating a homicide following the discovery of human remains near Pelican Narrows, SK.
On May 13, 2026, Saskatchewan RCMP officers located human remains during a planned search near Pelican Narrows. An autopsy took place on May 15, 2026, and the deceased was identified as 16-year-old Jay’siiah Webb-Long, a missing person from Brampton, ON. His family has been notified, and victim services have been made available to them.
Jay’siiah was last in contact with family on May 16, 2025. He had been living in Pelican Narrows around the time of his disappearance. He was initially reported missing to Peel Regional Police. Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit, previously known as the Major Crimes Unit, took carriage of the investigation in July 2025 and deemed his disappearance suspicious.
Investigators believe Jay’siiah’s death is a homicide. The investigation continues.
