Punnichy RCMP asks for public’s help in assault investigation

On June 10, 2026, at around 8:30 a.m., Punnichy RCMP received a report of a serious assault on Muskowekwan First Nation.

Investigation determined an unknown individual or individuals broke into a residence and assaulted an adult male. He was taken to the hospital with injuries described as serious in nature.

Investigators believe the assault took place sometime between the evening of June 9 and morning of June 10.

Punnichy RCMP continue to investigate. They would like to speak with anyone who saw – or captured on surveillance camera – any suspicious activity on Muskowekwan First Nation in that time range.
