Saskatchewan RCMP’s WEST executed 12 arrest warrants in the Battlefords area

Between June 1 and June 4, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Saskatoon Warrant Enforcement Suppression Team (WEST) assisted Battlefords RCMP by arresting wanted individuals in the Battleford area.

During the 4-day operation, Saskatchewan RCMP officers arrested four individuals, including one teenaged male and three females. A total of 12 arrest warrants were executed among the four individuals who were arrested.

30-year-old Charnelle Swiftwolfe from Moosomin First Nation was arrested on three outstanding warrants. These warrants include forcible confinement, aggravated assault, uttering threats, and failing to attend court charges that relate to a December 2025 kidnapping investigation.

24-year-old Kathie Swiftwolfe from Moosomin First Nation was arrested on three outstanding warrants. These warrants include robbery and assault with a weapon charges that relate to a November 2025 assault investigation and a March 2026 robbery investigation.

A 21-year-old female from Battleford was arrested on a warrant for charges including forcible confinement and assault with a weapon. These charges include those laid in relation to an April 2023 assault investigation. At the time of the incident, the female was a youth; therefore, we are unable to identify her as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

A teenaged male from Moosomin First Nation was arrested on five outstanding warrants. These warrants include using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and failing to comply with court ordered conditions charges that relate to two May 2025 investigations. We are unable to identify the male teenager as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act. 

“Saskatchewan RCMP is committed to making sure those responsible for crimes are brought before the courts. We have the unique combination of frontline officers and specialized units that help us locate and arrest people wanted on warrant,” says S/Sgt. Kory Davidsen, the acting senior investigative officer with Saskatchewan RCMP’s Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Team. “We found and arrested four of them, all wanted for serious offences, just over this 4-day campaign. The Battlefords Detachment and specialized units like WEST, the North Battleford Crime Reduction Team, the North Battleford Crime Reduction Team-Gang Task Force, and the Serious Violent Offender Response team will continue to work together to help make the Battlefords area safer.”
