Prince Albert RCMP seized a firearm from a stolen truck after it drove into a police vehicle.

On the morning of June 12, 2026, Prince Albert RCMP received multiple reports related to a truck that was previously reported as stolen in the City of Prince Albert.

At approximately 1:40 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP located the stolen truck parked outside a residence in the community of Little Red River.

Officers positioned their police vehicles around the stolen truck. As an officer was exiting their vehicle, the stolen truck reversed at a high rate of speed and collided with the police vehicle. Following the collision, the driver of the stolen truck exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The male was arrested by police officers at the scene.

Neither the male arrested nor the police officers involved in the collision were physically injured. The police vehicle was damaged and deemed inoperable.

During a subsequent search of the stolen truck, Prince Albert RCMP located a sawed-off firearm and a knife. The items were seized by police.
