Lloydminster STRT: charges laid following drug trafficking investigation

Saskatchewan RCMP’s Lloydminster Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team (STRT) has charged two males after cash and illegal drugs were seized in Lloydminster, AB during a drug trafficking investigation. 

On June 11, 2026, as part of an ongoing investigation, officers with Saskatchewan RCMP’s Lloydminster STRT executed a search warrant at a room in a hotel on 50th Avenue in Lloydminster. During a search of the hotel room, officers located and seized:

  • $40,000 in cash
  • 6.182 litres of gamma hydroxybutyrate
  • 243 grams of fentanyl
  • 233 grams of cocaine
  • 725 grams of methamphetamine

Two males were arrested.

As a result of investigation, 23-year-old Yuvraj Dhillon and 20-year-old Sukhman Singh, both from Edmonton, AB, have each been charged with:

  • one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
  • one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
  • one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
  • one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – gamma hydroxybutyrate, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and
  • one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code.

Dhillon and Singh are scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court in Alberta on August 11, 2026.

“This seizure represents a significant disruption to the illicit drug trade in Lloydminster and area,” said Sgt. Aaron Gervais with the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Lloydminster STRT. “By removing these dangerous substances, and the financial incentives behind them, we are directly investing in community prevention and safety.”
