UPDATE: Battlefords RCMP on the scene of serious collision on Highway #4

On June 25, 2026, at approximately 4:55 a.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of a single-vehicle rollover on Highway #4, approximately 8 kilometres north of Cochin. 

Officers responded along with local fire and EMS. One of the vehicle’s passengers was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. They have been identified as a teenager from North Battleford. Their family has been notified. 

The second passenger and driver of the vehicle were both transported to hospital by EMS with injuries described as non-life threatening in nature. 

Highway #4 was closed for initial investigation, but both lanes are now open. 

Battlefords RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.

Battlefords RCMP are currently on the scene of a serious collision on Highway #4, between Cochin and Marlin. 

As this investigation is in preliminary stages, we do not have additional details to share at this time.

Both lanes of Highway #4 are closed for an undetermined amount of time. Motorists should expect delays in the area. Please slow down and follow the instructions of emergency personnel on scene.
