Carlyle RCMP investigating male’s death

On June 30, 2026 at approximately 11:55 p.m., Carlyle RCMP received a report of an injured person on Highway #9 on White Bear First Nation, just west of White Bear Lake.
Officers responded along with local fire and EMS. An adult male was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as a 23-year-old male from White Bear First Nation. His family has been notified.
Initial investigation suggests the male’s death may have been the result of a vehicle-pedestrian collision. No vehicle was located at the scene where the male was located.
Carlyle RCMP are requesting any dash cam or surveillance footage captured in the area late on June 30.

Carlyle RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist as well as Yorkton Forensic Identification Services, in consultation with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
