Shellbrook RCMP seek public assistance identifying suspect in armed robbery near Holbein

Shellbrook RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect and locating a vehicle stolen in an armed robbery near Holbein, SK.

On July 3, 2026, at approximately 1:05 p.m., Shellbrook RCMP received a report of an armed robbery. 

Officers responded and determined an adult male with a weapon threatened an adult female and stole her vehicle while she was parked on the side of Highway #693, just north of Holbein. The suspect fled north on Highway #693 in the stolen vehicle.

No physical injuries were reported to police.

The stolen vehicle is described as a grey 2011 Kia Sorento SUV with Saskatchewan license plate 491 PCN. At this time, both the SUV and the suspect have not been located.

The suspect is described as a bald male wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. We do not have further details about the suspect at this time.

Shellbrook RCMP are asking anyone with information about this incident, or who witnessed suspicious activity in the Holbein area in the afternoon of July 3, to contact police by calling 310-RCMP.
