Pelican Narrows RCMP charged a woman after seizing weapons, illicit drugs, and trafficking paraphernalia at a residence in Pelican Narrows, SK.
On July 4, 2026, Pelican Narrows RCMP officers conducted evening patrols in Pelican Narrows to check for compliance with the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation’s new emergency safety measures.
During the patrol, police officers performed a check at a residence on Linklater Street and were granted permission to enter the residence.
Inside the residence, police officers observed prohibited firearms, ammunition, and a bag of white powder. Police officers arrested a female on scene without incident and requested a warrant to search the residence.
During the search of the residence, police officers located and seized:
- one sawed-off shotgun;
- several imitation firearms;
- various types of ammunition;
- various bladed weapons, including machetes, a tactical axe and knives;
- 664 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine;
- 30 cellphones;
- a large sum of cash; and
- additional drug paraphernalia.
As a result of continued police investigation, 30-year-old Kerry McCallum from Pelican Narrows, SK, has been charged with:
- one count, possession of a firearm without a licence, Section 91(1) of the Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, Section 92(1) of the Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a loaded prohibited weapon without a licence, Section 95(1) of the Criminal Code;
- one count, storage of a prohibited firearm in a careless manner, Section 86(1) of the Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a firearm without a serial number, Section 108(1)(b) of the Criminal Code;
- one count, unsafe storage of a firearm, Section 86(2) of the Criminal Code;
- nine counts, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section (88)(1) of the Criminal Code;
- two counts, possession of a prohibited device without a licence, Section 91(2) of the Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm without a licence, Section 95(1)(a) of the Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a prohibited firearm with readily available ammunition, Section 95(1)(b) of the Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a prohibited firearm obtained by crime, Section 96(a) of the Criminal Code;
- two counts, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code;
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking of crystal methamphetamine, Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking of fentanyl, Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking of crack cocaine, Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
- one count, production of crystal methamphetamine, Section 7(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and
- one count, possession of cannabis for the purpose of distribution, Section 9(2) of the Cannabis Act;
