Canora RCMP seek public assistance identifying suspect in armed robbery

Canora RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect and locating a truck stolen in an armed robbery in the RM of Sliding Hills.

On July 7, 2026, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Canora RCMP received a report of an armed robbery. 

Officers responded and determined an adult male with a weapon threatened an individual and stole their truck at a residence in the RM of Sliding Hills. The suspect fled east toward Kamsack.

No physical injuries were reported to police.

The stolen truck is described as a grey 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 truck with Saskatchewan license plate 247 NQF. At this time, both the truck and the suspect have not been located.

The suspect is described as a male:

  • Height: 5’10”
  • Weight: 200 lbs
  • Eye colour: brown
  • Hair colour and style: black, short
  • Other descriptors: visible tattoos
  • Last seen wearing: red t-shirt, shorts and running shoes

We do not have further details about the suspect at this time.

Canora RCMP are asking anyone with information about this incident, or who witnessed suspicious activity in the RM of Sliding Hills area in the late afternoon or early evening of July 7, to contact police by calling 310-RCMP. Yorkton RCMP’s Police Dog Services and Forensic Identification Section, and Saskatoon Serious Crimes Unit are assisting with this investigation.
