Battlefords RCMP investigating fatal collision

On July 10, 2026 at approximately 1:55 a.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of a collision between a semi-truck and a pedestrian on Highway #16, approximately 8 kilometers west of North Battleford.
Officers responded along with local fire and EMS. The pedestrian was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as a 32-year-old male from Canoe Narrows, SK. His family has been notified.
The sole occupant of the semi-truck reported no physical injuries to police.
Battlefords RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
