On July 20, 2026 at approximately 1:45 a.m., Swift Current Rural/Morse RCMP received a report of a semi-truck rollover on Highway #1, approximately six kilometers east of Chaplin, SK.
Officers responded along with local fire and EMS. The sole occupant of the semi-truck was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as a 26-year-old male from Brampton, ON. His family has been notified.
Swift Current Rural/Morse RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
