On August 2, 2026 at approximately 5:45 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report that two people with firearms threatened an individual, assaulted them and stole their SUV and personal items at a residence in the community of Little Red River. The suspects fled in the stolen SUV.

The victim was transported to hospital by EMS with injuries described as non-life threatening in nature.

Prince Albert RCMP continued to investigate the whereabouts of the stolen SUV and suspects.

The following day, La Ronge RCMP received a report that three people with firearms threatened two individuals, assaulted them and stole their truck on Highway #2, south of La Ronge. After locating the suspects and stolen truck in Northside, officers activated their vehicle’s emergency equipment and initiated a traffic stop. The stolen truck did not stop and fled from police on Highway #2.
