Humboldt RCMP: male arrested following robbery with a firearm in Watson

On September 1, 2026 at approximately 10:40 a.m., Humboldt RCMP received a report of a robbery with a firearm at a business in Watson, SK.
Investigation determined the suspect entered the business, pointed a firearm at two employees, and robbed the business of a sum of cash. The firearm was not discharged. The suspect exited the business and left the area in a vehicle. No physical injuries were reported to police.
Humboldt RCMP located and seized a firearm at the business.
Later that same morning, an adult male was arrested in Wadena, SK.
57-year-old Francis Tremblay from the RM of Lakeview, SK is charged with:
- one count, careless use of a firearm, Section 86(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code;
- two counts, pointing a firearm, Section 87(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, Section 85(1)(a), Criminal Code; and
- one count, robbery with a firearm, Section 344, Criminal Code.
Francis Tremblay appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on September 2, 2026.
