Battlefords RCMP are asking the public to report sightings of Brady Starchief

An adult male is wanted by Battlefords RCMP in relation to a firearm discharge incident.

On August 25, 2026 at approximately 2:25 a.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of a firearm discharge on Mosquito Grizzly Bear’s Head Lean Man First Nation.

Investigation determined a firearm was discharged from a vehicle in the direction of a residence. The vehicle then left the area. None of the occupants inside the residence at the time of the incident were physically injured.

The suspect vehicle is described as a black, four-door Dodge Dart car.

Battlefords RCMP, along with Saskatchewan RCMP’s Police Dog Services, made patrols in the area searching for the suspect vehicle. At this time, the suspect vehicle has not been located.

As a result of continued investigation, 18-year-old Brady Starchief from North Battleford, SK is charged with:

• one count, discharge firearm with intent, Section 244, Criminal Code;
• one count, unauthorized possession of a firearm, Section 91(1), Criminal Code;
• one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code;
• one count, possession of a firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in motor vehicle, Section 94(1), Criminal Code;
• one count, careless use of a firearm, Section 86(1), Criminal Code; and
• one count, fail to comply with probation order, Section 733.1(1), Criminal Code.

A warrant has been issued for Brady Starchief’s arrest. Battlefords RCMP continue work to locate him and ask the public to report sightings and information on his whereabouts.

Brady Starchief is described as:

• Height: 5’7”
• Weight: 160 lbs
• Eye colour: brown
• Hair colour/style: black
