Wollaston Lake RCMP: three charged in relation to firearm discharge investigation

Wollaston Lake RCMP have arrested and charged three individuals after an investigation into a firearm discharge incident on Hatchet Lake Denesuline First Nation.
On September 18, 2026, Wollaston Lake RCMP responded to a report of a firearm discharge. Investigation determined unknown individuals discharged a firearm at a residence, striking it. The occupants of the residence did not report any physical injuries to police.
As a result of investigation, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the community. An adult female was arrested there.
As a result of further investigation, a male youth was arrested on September 21 and a second male youth was arrested on October 2, both in the community.
18-year-old Kierra Shaoulle and the two male youths, who can’t be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are each charged with:
- one count, conspire to commit an indictable offence, Section 465(1)(c), Criminal Code;
- one count, discharge firearm with intent, Section 244, Criminal Code;
- one count, discharge firearm while being reckless, Section 244.2(3), Criminal Code;
- one count, point a firearm, Section 87(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, unauthorized possession of a firearm, Section 91(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a firearm knowingly without a licence, Section 92(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, Section 85(1)(a), Criminal Code; and
- one count, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, Section 94(1), Criminal Code.
Kierra Shaoulle is also charged with:
- one additional count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code; and
- five counts, fail to comply with release order condition, Section 145(5)(a), Criminal Code.
One of the male youths is scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on October 5 (Information #Y412523).
Kierra Shaoulle and the other male youth are scheduled to appear in court in Wollaston Lake on October 14 (Information #90572598 and Y412522).
