Cocaine and methamphetamine seized during traffic stop in Loon Lake

Loon Lake RCMP arrested four individuals and seized cocaine and methamphetamine during a traffic stop.
On October 13, 2026 at approximately 2:00 p.m., Loon Lake RCMP conducted a proactive traffic stop on Highway #699 in Loon Lake, SK.
As a result of investigation, officers determined one of the occupants in the vehicle, an adult female, was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant from Loon Lake RCMP. The female was arrested.
During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located approximately 283 grams of methamphetamine and 18 grams of cocaine.
Three additional vehicle occupants, two males and a female, were arrested at the scene. During the arrest, officers located and seized brass knuckles, ammunition, and a sum of cash that one of the males had in their possession. A photo of the seized items is attached.
As a result of continued investigation, 34-year-old William Crookedneck from Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation is charged with:
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and
- one count, possession of property obtained by crime less than $5000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code.
28-year-old Wesley Crookedneck from Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation is charged with:
- one count, carrying a concealed weapon, Section 90(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code; and
- one count, unauthorized possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon, Section 91(2), Criminal Code.
The female arrested on warrant was not charged in relation to this investigation. The second female arrested was charged for breaching her court ordered conditions.
William Crookedneck is scheduled to appear in court in Loon Lake on October 15, 2026. Wesley Crookedneck is scheduled to appear in court in Loon Lake on December 3, 2026.
