Yukon RCMP is seeking information about Mrs. Tootsie Jimmy-Charlie

Were you in Whitehorse, Yukon between March 20 and May 17 in 1967?

Yukon RCMP is seeking information that might help their investigation into the 1967 death of Tootsie Jimmy-Charlie.

Mrs. Jimmy-Charlie was last seen on March 20, 1967, in the Whitehorse area. She was found deceased on May 17, 1967, at the site of the Whitehorse landfill, which at that time, was located off of Range Road overlooking McIntyre Creek.

Mrs. Jimmy-Charlie was 26 years old, 5 foot 5 inches tall, 120 pounds, with black hair. She was wearing a green sweater, black pants and rubber boots. There was a red and black plaid jacket and a pale purple sweater located near where she was found.

Mrs. Jimmy- Charlie is described by her family as kind-hearted, gentle and a loving mother, wife, sister and aunt.

The Yukon RCMP Historical Case Unit (HCU) is seeking public assistance in gathering any information that may aid in this investigation. RCMP HCU investigators are hopeful that someone may recall something that could shed light on the circumstances surrounding Mrs. Jimmy-Charlie’s death.  Even a small detail or a single memory could be the missing piece to this investigation.
