This media release has been updated September 29, 2025. The name of the missing person has been corrected. The missing person is Edwin Manuel.
Whitehorse RCMP are seeking assistance to locate Whitehorse resident Edwin Manuel.
On September 27, 2025 a family member of Edwin Manuel, reported to police that they had not heard from him in several days and they were worried about him. Police have investigated and made inquiries with Mr. Manuel’s neighbours. He was last seen in the Marsh Lake area near Old Constabulary on September 22 or 23, 2025.
Mr. Manuel is 77 years old and known to wear glasses, dark denim pants and a plaid shirt. He has greyish/white hair, is normally clean shaven, and has hazel eyes. He is approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall, slim build, and usually wears a ballcap. He has some trouble walking and may have a cane. He may be carrying a backpack with an oxygen tank.
