Drug trafficking arrest in Whitehorse leads to seizure of cocaine and cash

Whitehorse RCMP members arrested a 21‑year‑old Ontario resident for possession for the purpose of trafficking.

In the evening of February 28, 2026, Whitehorse Detachment officers arrested Nathan Nicholas Mathurin for possession for the purposes of trafficking illegal drugs. Police seized over 140 grams of suspected cocaine and a quantity of cash.

Nathan Mathurin has been charged with:

  • • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • • Possession of property obtained by crime

He was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 11, 2026.
