Search for answers continues in Fox Elric missing person investigation

This month marks one year since Mr. Elric, also known as Keith Atlin, was last seen in a Riverdale neighbourhood. Despite extensive investigative and search efforts, he remains missing. Yukon RCMP are asking anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward.

Mr. Elric was last seen in Whitehorse on July 18, 2025.  Search efforts following his disappearance, with the assistance of Yukon Search and Rescue personnel and RCMP Police Dog Services, included extensive ground searches supported by helicopters, drones, and all-terrain vehicles across multiple locations. Continued search efforts, conducted with the assistance of Yukon Search and Rescue personnel, involved land, air, water, and drone resources in areas where Mr. Elric was last seen and known to frequent.

Mr. Elric’s mother, Eileen Atlin, provided the following message:

“I and my youngest son miss Fox so dearly. Words can’t truly express the grief I feel as a mother. I also have been searching for my son Fox. I would like to thank everyone who has participated in searching for my son since he has gone missing and who continues to search for my dear son Fox Elliott Elric, also known as Keith Timothy Atlin. I appreciated all the supports and kindness that our community of Whitehorse, Yukon has given to my youngest son and myself this past year. With our heavy hearts this means a lot. If there is any new information, please don’t hesitate to help if you can.”

The Yukon RCMP Historical Case Unit (HCU), responsible for long-term missing person investigations, continues to review information and reported tips. Anyone who has seen or interacted with Fox Elric since July 17, 2025, is encouraged to contact HCU by calling 867-667-5555 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or at www.crimestoppersyukon.ca. 

Sometimes the smallest piece of information can become a critical lead in an investigation.

Mr. Elric is described as a 30-year-old male of First Nations descent with short, shaved black hair, a black moustache and beard. He is approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighs 210 lbs.  He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, a black hat, black headphones and prescription glasses.
