RCMP Major Crimes Unit is seeking public assistance in locating wanted 20-year-old individual who is wanted for the second-degree murder of 31-year-old Chanse Twins, a resident of Ermineskin First Nation, which occurred on Aug. 13, 2025, on Louis Bull First Nation.
Ashton is described as:
- Medium complexion
- 5 feet 2 inches tall and 106 pounds (may not be current)
- Brown eyes and black hair; his head may be recently shaved
Do not approach the individual and exercise extreme caution if he is seen or located. The individual has associations to the communities of Maskwacis, Edmonton and North Battleford, Sask.

Maskwacis RCMP investigate firearms complaint
On Aug. 13, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Maskwacis RCMP were dispatched to a firearms complaint at a residence on Louis Bull First Nation. EMS also responded. Upon arrival, a male was located deceased.
Southern Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken carriage of the investigation.
An autopsy occurred Aug. 15, 2025, at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner Office in Edmonton and the cause of death was deemed to be a homicide.
Southern Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has charged a 20-year-old resident of Louis Bull First Nation, Alberta, with second-degree murder.
The Alberta RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in providing any information to the individual's whereabouts. The public should not approach the individual and exercise extreme caution if he is seen or located. The individual has associations to the communities of Maskwacis, Edmonton and North Battleford, Sask.
