Okotoks RCMP arrests individual for indecent act

Okotoks, Alta. – On Feb. 23, 2026, Okotoks RCMP began investigating a report of an indecent act which occurred in a public building in Okotoks. It was reported an individual was engaging in a sexual act in a public place in the middle of the afternoon. Police obtained video footage and identified the suspect from previous dealings of similar incidents.  

A 28-year-old resident of Okotoks has been charged for committing an indecent act. After a Judicial Interim Release hearing, the individual is being held in custody and will appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Okotoks on March 6, 2026.
