Chestermere, Alta. – Strathmore RCMP is advising that Highway 1 is now clear and normal traffic can resume.
At 6:20 a.m., RCMP was advised of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 1 in the west bound lanes, at Range Road 284. As a result of the collision, a 38-year-old Calgary resident, died at the scene. The driver of the second involved vehicle received serious non-life-threatening Injuries.
The RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene, and the cause of the collision is under investigation.
RCMP sends condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
